Nestled along the industrial ports and cut off from the rest of the city by I-95, this community bears the scars of decades of neglect. Once a hub of thriving industry, the neighborhood has been hollowed out by the loss of manufacturing jobs, leaving behind a cycle of poverty, crime, and despair.

70% of children raised in single-parent homes
6 active gangs fueling crime, drugs, and human trafficking
